Fire safety is a vital responsibility; the alarm must ring loud and clear.
"Prevention First, Life First" — this is more than just a slogan; it is a responsibility each of us bears. To better enhance the fire safety awareness and personal response capabilities of all employees, ISU Petasys HuNan will conduct full-staff fire emergency drill training in November.
This drill training was not only reasonably divided into day shifts and night shifts but also conducted in a standardized, orderly, and highly practical manner throughout. It not only verified the scientificity and operability of the enterprise's fire safety emergency plan but also consolidated the collective consensus among all employees to "pay attention to fire safety and attach importance to safety."

An effective fire drill cannot do without thorough and meticulous preliminary preparations.To ensure the drill is both professional and practical, the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Department set up a special preparation team in advance.After multiple rounds of discussions, a detailed drill plan was formulated, and the core objectives of "testing the emergency plan, refining the mechanism, and training the team" were clarified.The plan not only accurately designated the simulated fire area but also refined the evacuation route map based on the personnel distribution and operation processes of each department. Additionally, it clearly defined the responsibilities of six special teams—Firefighting & Communication Team, Evacuation Team, Security Team, First Aid Team, Logistics Team, and Emergency Rescue Team—in a checklist format, ensuring that each link is assigned to a specific person and every task is managed with a closed loop.
Though this drill may seem ordinary, it actually embodies the tremendous efforts of the preparation team. During the preparation phase, they adopted a two-pronged approach: on one hand, they conducted comprehensive and meticulous inspections of all fire-fighting facilities in the factory area to ensure they could function normally at critical moments; on the other hand, they carefully prepared sufficient supplies required for the drill.
To ensure every employee actively participates and fully understands the drill arrangements, the preparation team holds a pre-drill briefing in advance each time, explaining the drill process and key points in detail. Meanwhile, an official drill notice is issued via email, clearly stating the time, venue, and various precautions, striving to achieve full staff awareness and participation.
In addition, the preparation team cleverly seized the opportunity of everyone gathering during the drill to conduct timely training on fire emergency response and safety knowledge, further enhancing all employees’ fire safety awareness and emergency handling capabilities.

With the commander-in-chief’s resounding order "Drill start!", the simulated fire signal was sent out as swiftly as an arrow. In an instant, simulated smoke spread wildly across the office area like a surging tide, and immediately afterward, the sharp fire alarm blared suddenly like a clap of thunder—kicking off an intense and realistic emergency evacuation drill!

Within 10 seconds of the alarm sounding, safety officers from all departments quickly took their positions and cut off non-fire-fighting power supplies. Employees immediately stopped their work and entered the emergency evacuation state. Responsible persons for each link in the emergency plan performed their respective duties, forming an effective command system.

Under the guidance of department heads, all employees responded quickly and orderly. In strict accordance with daily training requirements, everyone evacuated rapidly along the predetermined evacuation routes. The entire process was intense yet orderly, with no pushing, shouting, or similar incidents.
全面清查确保安全
After the last employee evacuated the building, responsible persons for each floor conducted a "carpet - search" inspection of their assigned areas to ensure no one was left behind. Meanwhile, security personnel took a head count at the main exits. The entire evacuation process, from the sounding of the alarm to the last person reaching the safe area, took only 3 minutes and 15 seconds, fully demonstrating excellent emergency response capabilities.

"Talk is cheap; only real practice counts."All participating employees quickly assembled in an orderly manner at the designated safe area. The trainer conducted the training in a systematic way: first, he explained in detail and summarized the common factors contributing to the frequent fires in recent years, and also specifically mentioned the fire cases related to our company, making everyone deeply realize the potential threat of fires.Subsequently, the trainer patiently gave a detailed introduction to various existing fire-fighting equipment, enabling employees to gain a deeper understanding of these "fire-extinguishing tools". After the explanation, the training officially entered the exciting practical operation session of fire extinguishers.

Four simulated fire points were set up at the scene of this drill, with a detailed demonstration of the correct operating procedures for dry powder fire extinguishers. "Remember the four-character rule — 'Lift, Pull, Grip, Squeeze'." As he explained, he demonstrated: lift the fire extinguisher with your right hand, pull out the safety pin with your left hand, grip the front end of the nozzle, and firmly squeeze the handle while aiming at the base of the flame.

Employee representatives from each department conducted practical drills in batches. It was inevitable for employees using fire extinguishers for the first time to feel nervous, but with the trainer’s patient guidance and colleagues’ encouragement, they quickly mastered the skills. The transformation from "novices" to "skilled operators" often only requires one real experience.

After the drill, the person in charge of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Department summarized and commented on the event.He emphasized that fire safety is the "lifeline" of enterprise development, and no slight negligence is tolerable.Through the approach of "learning through practice and improving through practice", this drill has effectively identified and rectified potential problems in emergency response, further optimizing the emergency plan process.Taking this drill as an opportunity, the enterprise will continuously improve the fire safety management system, regularly carry out normalized and practical fire training and drills to steadily enhance the safety literacy of all employees. Meanwhile, it will strictly implement the main responsibility for fire safety, strengthen daily fire inspections and potential hazard investigations, and fundamentally prevent fire accidents from occurring.
